320i M Sport USA
Is there any hope that BMW might decide to bring an M Sport option for the 320i to the States?
I would jump all over that in a heartbeat. How much would converting a 320i US Spec into the "M Sport look" cost do you think? I saw the body kit was ~ $1800 unpainted. Not sure how much the 400M rims are. Anything else I would be missing as far as exterior goes? Would it just end up costing almost as much to make it look like an M Sport as it would be to just get a 328i M sport with minimal other options? |

I'd say "no" to your first question. It's no secret BMW wants you to move up in trim levels if you desire certain options. It's been this way as long as I remember, and I've owned nine BMWs.
There's one small exterior piece I can think of immediately. The two-pipe exhaust outlet for the 328i versus the 320i's single exhaust tip. The after-factory "factory look" is definitely going to be the more expensive route to go. Yes. Go with your bare bones 328i. In addition to the aforementioned exterior cosmetic upgrades, you get a bigger motor, a beefier suspension (with the option to upgrade to the Dynamic Handling Package and M Sport Brakes), and most importantly, a factory-assembled car done right with a manufacturer warranty. |
