The higher Kelvin you go the more glare that is given off and less useable light output, ie seeing distance.
But, if you are going for color, make it happen. I don't have a problem with the looks of the stock HIDs.

I thought the M had Bi-Xenon stock, besides the regular xenons will be plenty, I already bet pulled over all the time for the ones on my GT.

I agree! The Stock ones are great for a minute when you turn them on but after a Minute
of them being on, They Turn Yellow!
I hate that! I had 8000k Bulbs on my E46 M3 and they Look Great!
You know when you turn on the Lights and its a Bluish color, well The 8000k
Bulds looked like you just turned on the Lights but all the Time!
It was Brighter and more Zenon Bluish!
Im definetly Going 8500k on my E92 M3.....

8500k? Good God they're going to be deep blue and you won't be able to see shit.

Stockers should be ~4300K, as that provides the most visible light for driving. I had 6000K for awhile, and loved them. The only reason I went back to stock is b/c one blew and I didn't buy any more. They were blue-purple-white-ish, depending on the distance, and there wasn't too much light lost. The higher you go, the less usable light you'll have; any lower than 4300 and you're getting closer to yellow, which is only good for cutting through fog/rain.

Ya you are 100% Right!! Well if its like that then Ill just go with the Same Bulbs
I have on my E46 M3 the 8k's! The 8k's I have on my E46 M3 are Really Bright.
They were bright as Stock But they were Much more Zenon Bluish!!!
I just decided on 8500k cuz thats what many people on the board were posting
and I thought thats whats available for now on the M3!
But Fuck it, Ill go with the 8ks cuz I dont want them to be Dark as Hell so
i wont see Shit lol....I want them to be as bright as stock, If not brighter
and keep that Bluish Color which I love(But not Too Blue!) Just like the Color
when you just turn on the Stock Lights Just Bluer! My 8ks were that same color just a
little more bluish!

Sorry, 8,500k is pure bling. The human eye responds to the lower Kelvin tempreatures better. The stock 4,200-4,300k lamps give the most bang for the buck in terms of useable light. If you want bling, go for the 8k+, but it looks cheap, IMO. Reminds me of the coffee can muffler set.
