Show Car Wheels

My question is will the two toned wheels shown on the auto show cars be available to order??? I'm a bit confused. The order guide only shows the lighter wheels and the all black wheels.

My salesperson says no, these are only "concept" wheels. The Reps. at the auto show say yes, but they couldn't provide an option number. I'm tending to believe my salesperson.

I'm hoping to able to get the ones shown on the auto show cars, they are more to my liking.

Any concrete answers please??

Actually, the two tone wheels are those that will be offered. The all black reportedly not (the question is why they sometimes presented anyway).

At least in the german pricelist they have the code 2VZ (the silver have 2VY), but not sure if this is an official code.

There seems to be (4) wheel choices

The standard 18"
The all brushed aluminum
The all Black
The two toned polished and black painted
If we get the choice of the two toned, I'll be happy. I know some don't like it but I do.

Fixed

There's an all black 19" (in the same style as the offered 19) and another all black 19" (which is in the style of the 18") that we've seen on test cars and on display. So we've seen at least FIVE different options.

But according to same buying guides out, there are only 3 offered options.

Exactly. We've seen a total of 5 wheel options between test cars, show cars, and the buying guide. But only the 3 wheels in the buying guide have been confirmed.

Standard 18" wheel
Polished aluminum 5-spoke 19" wheel
Two-tone black 5-spoke 19" wheel

The twin 5-spoke 19" wheel and the all-black 5-spoke 19" wheel probably won't be available initially, if at all.

On the UK configurator web site, the dark wheel has no shiny part, unlike the pictures above. Hum...

So, from reading the posts here, I'm only certain that the brushed aluminum wheels will be offered. The all black and two toned ones are still a mystery.
I know my salesperson is getting frustrated, since I keep changing my mind. I really want the two toned wheels and he keeps telling me those won't be available. If he proves to be correct, I'll go with the brushed aluminum.

Not to mention that I'm also not pleased with the color choices. I originally wanted an individual color (Ruby Black). No individual colors available. Then I wanted the graphite grey again not available on this car. Refused to get the sapphire black, too many black bmws in my area. So, I'm settling for the mineral grey, and I do mean settling. I'm not in love with that color, but I can live with it.

Does it? Do we have pictures of that here? I hadn't seen them.

Most people have concluded that these are the same wheel and the difference in appearance is due to lighting. Your pic is CGI of course, but the darker, matte effect shows in some live shots as well.

That aside, there is still the all-black wheels (same style as the two tone black and the silver - 437M) that have shown up on some "for show" cars such as the ones in Daytona this past weekend. It's still a mystery as to whether these are the factory wheel for some markets instead of the two-tone black, or if they are an accessory wheel, or if they are simply a pre-production wheel that will not be offered OEM.

I already made peace with the fact that I will pay for the shitty half-and-halfs, and then will need to get them painted all black at the first chance. I am not sure what BMW was thinking when they decided to produce these hideous things.

I personally don't mind the half & half wheels that have been displayed and still think they will look great on the color I am planning on ordering (Sakhir Orange) but I do think the all black wheels would be a lot better. At the end of the day the half & half are better than the 18" or 19" all brushed aluminum and will be satisfied with them for what they cost.
