Upgraded Thrust Control Arms..but something doesn't look right
Hi guys,
Replaced my thrust control arms with: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-M3-...Arm/ES2581398/ http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-M3-...Arm/ES2581401/ After the shop installed it, the steering felt horrible. Afterwards, I went to the alignment shop and they guys said the wheel looks like it moved forward from a side view. They aligned my car and the steering felt much better but the tire is very close to my front bumper fender area. I forgot to mention that my car is lowered. My concern is, I think the thrust arm is longer which sent my wheel more forward. I'm going to take it back but can anyone else chime in on this? Thank you |

I'd check the part numbers on it and make sure they installed the right arm on the right side and the left arm on the left side. The bushing and twist on the arm is designed to go specifically on the side it was made for.
31102283578= right 31102283577= left Left arm also has the mounting for your headlight leveler arm. The arm is longer than non-M3, but I think that just gives you the neg-camber and would not relocate your wheel closer to your bumper. Looking at my control arms, if the arms were installed on the wrong sides, then it sure looks like it'd move your wheel carrier forward, towards your front bumper.
