Heated steering wheel retrofit

Hello guys, I'm a newbie. I did search the forums but didn't find the answer. I just bought a '11 535i xdrive with Premium 1 and 2. But does not have cold weather package. I really like the heated steering wheel option, plus, I like the sport steering wheels better. Is there an easy way of retrofitting the heated option? Thank you in advance.

You need wheel with heating of course , new driver in the wheel (small grey box on the right inside), and button. No extra wiring required.
It's plug&play.

What is the "New Driver in the wheel"? Could you elaborate please? So, where does one get the button?

The heated wheel switch button is on the steering column though. Although the wheel might be plug and play, I don't know how feasible it is to swap the steering column for one with the button.

It looks like there is a trim piece on the steering column where the button would be. I wonder if it is just switching out that trim piece and adding the button?

In every wheel you have the driver box. You have to buy complete used steering wheel with exactly the same functions that you have (for example paddles, ACC etc) + heating. You can keep your airbag, it's better way.
Or you can order new driver in BMW but it costs about 220E only for grey box with drivers. No.2:

I just replaced the steering wheel of my F10 (2011) with a heated one. I wrote the attached guide on how to do it.
