HID conversion problem. Near side switching off.

A friend of mine has a garage and has fitted the kit to 100's of taxis in our local area, without any problems.
My case in particular what happens is once the engine is switched on, the lights remain on for a little while before they flicker and the near side switching off completely.
What makes my car different to the others is that I have 2 amps in the car running the front speakers and a sub.
We also tried a different kit but had the same problem.
Any ideas please?

Is it the factory HID conversion or an illegal HID kit into the halogen housing which therefore blinds other drivers and you will fail your MOT for it? :P

Is the kit you are using an Error Free Canbus HID Kit intended for BMW's. Or just a generic universal HID kit? Please go into detail.

They are 100% CANBUS kit, intended for my BMW.
