Determining Diesel Exhaust Fluid Level

For those that might not be aware, there's a relatively simple way to determine the level of DEF (AdBlue) in your tank. One of the OBDII parameters is "reagent level".

Any better code scanner will read this among the "PID" settings. My Acton code reader will read this in real time. Value is %, simple to see. On my new 328d with 2k miles, the readout was 97%. Easy way to check this if so interested.

FYI.

I was thinking of getting a scan gaugeII. I'll check with them and see if it can be read from theirs.

Very good to share this - required PID can be quite helpful.
