European Delivery w/ Navigation, European disc?

Just curious if BMW provides a European disc for the Nav system for those people doing European Delivery. Surely they must, no ??

They will have the european maps loaded on the hard drive. when you pick up the car back in the US it should have the US maps loaded at that point. part of the euro delivery service.

Here's some other useful information too.

Like it's good to know that you can only drop the car of Monday - Friday. By appointment only any other time. That could hose your travel plans.

I noticed this bit from mister2D's link:

Quote:
Both license plates must remain on the vehicle due to new European Customs Regulation. BMW understands that customers would like to keep their license plates as a souvenir; however, there is no guarantee that the license plates will be on the vehicle once it arrives at your U.S. Center. BMW of North America assumes no liability for replacements.
Does this mean they'll drill holes for an EU front plate?

Good question. I'd like to know too.

I'm afraid to think it would be a ED deal breaker.

They use the existing holes for the rear. They don't drill the front, they use double sided adhesive strips.

Awesome info ! My heart stopped there for a moment with the thought of them drilling the front bumper.

Usually they give you a USB thumb drive that you insert in the USB port under the center arm rest. When you turn on the car, the Euro maps load up automatically. This is how it was done on my ED 435i.

Well, that is exactly what they did in the past. Some fold even had 4 wholes drilled on their bumpers. It was a mess.

This must be new. My M3 already had Euro Maps uploaded to its hard drive.
