Will an E92 iS exhaust fit an E90?

I know this is been asked before, but quite frankly, as everyone knows, the search function is a bit lackluster on this forum.

I have a good friend who has an iS who just got a Dinan exhaust and is looking to sell it.

The potential buyer has an E90. I proposed that it would not fit, and that it would be too long, but I've never tried- any experience with this?

Different lengths but the e92 is longer so it'd have to be cut down a bit for the e90.

But that's more work than needed. The 335is just has a PE exhaust with black tips so a swap of that would be essentially the same.

So the short answer is no, at least not without some cutting of the exhaust?

I stand corrected. I was under that impression when I was looking at the 335is. It is a different exhaust from standard N54 335i's but not the same as PE.

I think it just has less packing in the mufflers. I could be wrong

I have my friends IS exhaust on my car right now and it sounds great. The tips look a bit skinny and stick out a little more than I'd like but it's worth it for the sound

BMW would have trouble selling the 335is with a PE exhaust i'd imagine. bit loud for the avg consumer. although the average person probably wouldn't be in the market for a 335is to begin with
