CSAT Carbonstructure/Anthracite (Cloth/Leather combo) Seats

Just saw it on the newly released Canadian pricing guide. Does anybody know anything about it? What's the difference between the Carbon Anthracite Cloth/Leather and regular Cloth/Leather option? I'd assume it is the material similar to the carbon leather trim in E9X M3.

You're sitting on cloth instead of leather.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135241

I'm sure it'll be similar to what BMW has offered in years past.

I think it was pictured in one of the earlier photos of the BMW employee driving the 6MT F8X. It has a patterned look to it (..if, indeed, that was the carbon anthracite version versus the regular cloth version).

That's not what he's asking.

Thanks for the response!! I'll be heading over to my local dealer tonight but I doubt my sales rep would know anything about it. IF, which I highly doubt it, I find out anything from him, I'll let you guys know.

My bad. Ah, so there are two different cloth options? Nice, see what happens when you don't read the entire question.

So the speed cloth seats are a completely different structure than the leather? I find that hard to believe. The seats you are showing are typical F30 seats with cloth inserts. In other words, those are mule seats, not the production seats. The back seats in the car above are silverstone leather if you need more proof.

What do you mean by different structure? I'm not referring to the seat itself. I'm referring to the cloth it is wrapped in. I think that'll be pretty close to what speed cloth looks like (...as a semi-educated guess; I did notice the Silverstone leather in the back). None of us have seen the new seat wrapped in cloth.

You posted seats that aren't one piece seat backs. That's what he means by "structure" since you posted a mule seat as a production seat.

The speeds cloth seats are one piece, but with cloth inserts, leather outer.

You can see them on the UK visualizer.

Canadians seem two have 2 Speed Cloth options: one with Carbon Anthracite Cloth and one with Regular Cloth.

I am set on the speed cloth option, so I am hoping for a good looking seat without all of the leather maintenance.

I actually wouldn't mind Speed Cloth either. I had it in my 05 ZCP and loved it with the Interlagos Blue exterior. I'm not really crazy about any of the exterior or interior options right now, and I'm honestly tempted to wait until the second year of production in hopes of getting a better blue or a better palette of interior colors (...at least a true red or a color that looks like Palladium Silver in the E9X M3; i.e...more blue in the tone).

Yeah, I am not overly enthusiastic about the colors so far, but I am going to go with YMB/speed cloth/black 437/DCT/LED. I just don't see a whole lot more options that I NEED.
