M3 Side Mirrors
Edit: So I found out that e93 mirrors will work on e92 but the base is matte instead of glossy. Not sure if I will like this since I have an IS and it has gloss black trim.
Looking to do some M3 mirrors and had a couple questions If my mirrors currently fold in with the press of a button, is that the same as auto fold? I ordered a set of M3 mirrors and it says they are heated and memory but does not mention auto fold. I do not want to lose the option of being able to press that little circle and watch my mirrors fold up... Thanks guys! Last edited by SUHleen; 01-16-2014 at 02:22 PM.. |

e93 mirrors come in two paint types for the surrounds, gloss if the car had shadowline trim as an option and Matt if the car did not.
Also if the mirrors are not mentioned as auto fold, chances are they are not (you might be lucky) using just the switches won't fold them, as the mirrors need to have the additional motors inside to autofold. |

I might be listing some mirrors for sale haha I always tell my self I should do more research before buying.
Yea I was more so confused whether auto fold meant the mirrors automatically flipped up as opposed to the press of the button. Figured all the newer BMW's had the mirrors that electronically fold up wards. Damnit lol |

Not your fault Sean. I should be able to get my money out of them and be able to pass on a good deal to someone. I thought that $650 for the pair was a good deal (may or may not be power fold, but they are memory and heated, from an e93 with the matt base). Did I think right or is my mistake going to cost me?
Auto/Power fold will have three wires as opposed to two, correct? |
