Help - M Sport Retrofit gone wrong

Hi, I've posted in more detail in the technical section but I thought I's post here for any UK info.

I've got a F30 318d SE and hate the steering wheel. Inspired by the thread below I managed to source all the required part done the F20 M Sport Steering wheel retrofit.

Drove 100 yards and got the following message:

"Flat tyre monitor failure warning (RPA) / drive stabilisation activated / drive moderately - Contact BMW service"

Changed the steering back to the original and I still got the error. I managed to clear it by turning full lock to lock (google find), however now unsure if I want to continue and have another go or ditch the while project while I've got a working car!

Was this error more down to disconnecting the battery or the new airbag straining wheel? Looks identical so the dam thing should work! Any info appreciated.

How long does it take to swap the steering wheels?

About an hour for a non working one in my case!

Airbag is a little difficult to remove and the holding nut is very tight, good quality socket set helps.

After all that money spent and effort sourcing the parts i would swap it again to see if the full lock trick will sort it.

If it doesn't maybe it needs coding. There is a different VO code for each steering wheel, but after you change that i'm not sure which modules would need coding, probably Kombi at a guess but maybe others.
