strange beeping noise...
okay, so this is my second question of 3... occassionally, as i am driving, and also once while i was parked, the car makes this odd beeping noise...
"beep...beep...beep...bbbeeeepppp..." and that's it... nothing pops up on display, nada... everything i thought it was pretty much went out the window... at first i thought low fuel, but nope, it's doing it with a full tank of gas... lane departure?? nope, not it either, because it happened once while i was sitting in the garage talking on the phone... what the hell is this noise??!! |

it is the hourly reminder. it has small beeps reminding you at the top of every hour. you can turn it off. if you have i-drive, it is in the setting.

Switching on the hour signal* You will hear three tones just before each full hour. Select "Hour memo" and press the controller. The hour signal is activated.

Thanks for the info!
The beeps are very faint; I thought I was going crazy at first. After it happened regularly, I thought I had to add it in with my list of problems. Stupid, the hourly alarm should be off at original default settings. |

1. Press the MENU button once or twice until the start menu appears.
2. Press the controller to open the menu. 3. Turn the controller until "Settings" is selected and press the controller. 4. Turn the controller until "Time / Date" is selected and press the controller. 5. If necessary, move the controller forwards to move the highlight marker to the uppermost field. 6. Turn the controller until "Time" is selected and press the controller. You should see the Hour Memo option, unselect it. All of this should be in your manual under Hour Memo.
