M3 control arms on 335i?

I had a little mishap, and long story short I need new control arms. I would really love to upgrade to M3 control arms since I'm changing them out anyway. So my question is, will they fit on my E90 335i (without sport package)? Do I need to worry about whether the parts come from an E90 or E92 M3, or does it matter?

Yes they will fit. E92 and e90 M3s have the same control arms. Front arm part numbers from realoem states:

31102283575
31102283576
31102283577
31102283578

You can get the TRW OEM arm kit and headlight leveler for under $400 (same exact arms as those with M3 stamp on them, the M3 logo in many cases can be still seen on the TRW arms). Or you can get the BMW arms for significantly more $

Yeah, that's the plan. I'm gonna order from that group-buy and get all 4 arms with the bushings and headlight rod.

Hit up offset for the arms. Best price and comes with the metal headlight adjustment rod instead of the plastic one.

As noted by the member above, TRW makes the control arms. The ones you buy will me the exact same product as the M3 arm, but the M3 logo will grinded off

Isn't the OEM BMW one plastic? Is there any advantage to it being metal?

Not sure if the OEM m3 are plastic, but I do know offset sells their kit with a metal headlight rod. Same bend as the stock rod except two pivot balls.

I'm also looking into this conversion for an 07 e92 335i Sport package. Quick question for those who have done this upgrade. Once switching out the the m3 control arms, will my stock struts/spring bolt right on?

Also, if I have the m3 control arm set up and decide to install coilovers (kw v3), will I be required to buy v3's for a e92 335i or an e92 m3?

Everything will bolt up exactly as if you were replacing it with stock arms so will bolt right on.

You would still buy them for the 335i.

Don't forget you will need an alignment afterwards.

Piggybacking on this... I found a kit on FCPeuro for $386 for the front but is the rear worth doing as well?

Depending on shipping, ECS tuning might be cheaper. Or you might still be able to get them from these guys

If you have the coin, then yes. Offset has a deal on the rear setup as well

TRW is just from China supplier. Save more money and get the BMW ones.

You're way off base. TRW is the supplier of the arms on every M3 that rolls off the assembly line. Says TRW and made in Germany molded into every piece.
