Very cool video, and the M5 is very capable on the track in the right hands. These two vehicles are a perfect combo to own. Going to pull out the 991S today nice weather in GA. Next car will be a GT3 once the hype dies not paying 20k over MSRP that just rubs me the wrong way.

Yep not too many cars will stay with the M5 in a straight line. There is a video out there with a M5 handling a Ferrari, but again a race involves curves which the smaller car will take over as seen. This is my first Porsche, and I will say I'm a fan for life on the quality build, and the feel is awesome. Next bimmer will be the GC M6 which is beautiful. I tracked the the M5 at M school it's scary with all that weight, but killer in the straights.

Man go do it! It's in South Carolina I drove up from Atlanta took two hours (I drove the Porsche ha). I did the one day, and it was a full day of driving and it was enough for me. The one day is about 1500.00 bucks. You drive their cars, and the instructors are really cool. You do track time in all the M car 3, 5, and 6. Class started started around 0830 ends at 1600 with a cool hot lap with the pros in M5, and the tires were done once we completed a lap of high speed drifting. It was free from me because BMW delivered my car late from ED, but it's worth it. In addition you lean the capabilities of the car you own.

Funny in class everyone said who has that bad ass Porsche. As I said they're the perfect combo.

GREAT video! It would be interesting to see that matchup with the new 991 GT3. That thing is nuts. I think it is like 13 seconds faster around the ring than the 997 GT3. The 991 S tracks as fast as the 997 GT3.

Maybe if I get the guts to track mine this summer when it arrives we'll take the your M5 out to AMP and make a video.

Any thoughts about considering the upcoming ZO7/ZR1 versus the GT3?

I'd pay MSRP no problem, but not pimp money. Actually the reason I bought the Porsche because I love the 991 look, and interior.

Na bro ..........just can't hand over 10k or 20k because they feel they have me by the balls because of a want I can wait for. Man had my M5 or 16 months, and it has 6700 miles on it. The Porsche is 2200 my travel will slow down next year when is time to get the gt3 for the right price. For now it will sit in my garage with no reps ...................I guess I can ship it to AMS and drive thr autobahn(:
