e92 Seatbelt extension arm rattle
my passenger side seatbelt extension arm is rattling very bad while I drive. is there a way to pull it out, so I could possibly grease it up, or any other ideas on a fix?
Thanks! |

Mine does it also, but only on really bumpy roads. Still I too would like to find out how to get it to quite rattling.

Bump...
I haven't been able to inspect it closely but I beleive the arm is rattling up and down within it's little home. I was thinking of getting some sort of soft cloth style tape and placing it above and below the arm so that when it sits in there it is a little tighter fit and if it still moves it'll be against cloth rather than plastic... But then again this is a 3 month old car and it seems like something BMW should fix under warranty, no?

I have the same problem. On both sides. I'd love to take the rear panels off and remove the arms. Take the silver end cap off the arm and simply glue it on the panel to fill the hole. The rattle is driving me crazy and the dealer wont fix rattles after one year - even though yes i have remaining warranty. I think the arms are defective since they are not obviously designed to rattle. I'm sick of 'features' which are poorly constructed and then be denied warranty. My honda and toyota didn't make as much interior noise as my 335 is doing now. Dont get me started on the developing exhaust rattle... again no warranty help from the dealer. Everything is normal they say!! Well it wasn't there when i bought it. A car of this price shouldn't start falling apart after four years and 30K miles. I barely drive the thing.
