Will NAVTEQ dvd from 740IL work in Z4 ?

NE1 know if a NAVTEQ dvd map set from a 2001740IL will work in a 2004 Z4?

My dvd is 3 years old and I found a set of 4 dvds from a 740 that I can get for little $$. The stealer wants $200.

My friend has a 2008 3-Series and they don't work in my 2003 Z4, even though we BOTH have the MarkIV DVD-ROMS

Yes it should. Although the 2001 740iL should not have a DVD nav (it should be a MK3 CD-based system). The MK4 unit in the Z4 should be able to read both DVDs and CDs. What you might be buying is a CD set for the MK3 system (and the MK4 unit can read those CDs).

As for the incompatible 08 328 DVD, it won't work because the iDrive nav units use different data. iDrive media is only compatible with iDrive nav computers from what I know.

e38 (MY99-01) will work, the MY02+ e65 discs will not.
