M3 rear lip spoiler vs. M Performance/Ebay spoiler

Looking at the pictures of the new M3, it seems as though the rear lip spoiler is smaller and "stealthier" than that of the M Performance. Reminds me of the M3 style spoiler for the E90, which I had on my old Msport 335i and liked very much, as it was very subtle, but looked nice.

Any news when this will be available? Anyone else waiting?

Just curious.

The M Performance rear spoiler seems aggressive, but it's a lot more subtle than you would expect. Most people don't even notice it on my car and think it's factory. It changes the lines of the boot, but in a good way. It's not some ostentatious park bench that you'd see on the back end of a JDM rice rocket.

but be careful when your buy the pre-painted ones from ebay, mines colour was bait off, so i had to repaint it at a local body shop (alpine white)

other than that, they look great, i wouldn't bother spending more for oem on this one

I wouldn't get something like that from ebay. Go to one of the reliable and well known vendors on here. For the extra money it's worth it.

Sorry I didn't do this earlier, but I found a picture of what I was referring to. Thanks reedo302 for the input on the M Performance spoiler.
SJ00 - I've got a 2013 335i Msport AW, and I was considering the Ebay ones. Seems a lot of people on the forum either lucked out or are not that picky. I got lucky with my BSM E90 spoiler from Ebay. Perfect fitment and color, but it's easier for black.
Will probably wait for this M3 spoiler to come out.

my case may be the norm, and others just aren't as picky as me.
or i could be the exception and I'm just unlucky

but, are you willing to risk it?

after this experience, when i buy my next spoiler, i will buy an unpainted one and paint it at my body shop

whichever style you go for, good luck in your purchase, but my advice is to be more safe than sorry

Thanks for the advice. I'll most likely wait, but patience isn't one of my virtues.

Im leaving mine flat black...actually picked it up for a great price with a coupon code from a local dealer and also received free next day delivery. I have the M performance rear diffuser as well and rims are dipped flat black so thats the scheme im going with now on my mineral grey.

Having said that I do prefer the look of the stealthy m3 type but again patience???
Wonder which arm or leg BMW would want to supply and fit!!!!
