What Mileage to pick on Lease?

I am getting my car soon and dont know how many miles I will need. My CA said to go with 10,000 and that during the lease if I need to adjust it I can as long as its within like 4 months of the lease end.

Hmmm well how many miles do you typically drive? The number of miles that you select will directly affect the residual and hence your mthly payment.

You've got to be kidding me. Let me get this straight....you want people on this forum....people who you've never met...to decide for you how many miles to pick on your lease?

I am not asking anyone to pick the miles for me its just that my ca said it would be better to go with the 10,000 and adjust then to go with the 12,000 he also said this is a new bmw policy considering you are no longer "locked" in.

i think its .16 per mile to buy them before the lease starts... .20 per mile to buy them after the lease starts but 4 months before it ends... and .21 per mile after your within 4 month of the end of the lease... you save one cent per mile haha

The change from 10k to 12k changes your residual from .61 to .60.

Just figure out what your daily commute is, multiply that by 5, add your average weekend driving and multiply that by 52. If you're under 10k, go with 10k, if you're close or over, 12k might be the best way to go.
