Thumbs up BOSE SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker

A bit off topic, but this item is so good I thought it worth a mention. I bought this for the missus to go with her new Samsung Note tablet and the sound quality is simply fantastic. A bit pricey, but turns you phone/tablet into a seriously decent sounding set up and its light, bluetooth and extremely portable.
I got mine from John Lewis to get the 2 year guarantee (seems the same price everywhere).

Reason for mentioning it, I'd go to far as say its probably better than the HK in the car. Probably not as loud ultimately due to its size, but the sound quality is awesome.

I was going to buy the Soundlink II which is about £40 more and bigger, so you'd assume to be better? Until I watched this.....

That's a pretty impressive little package. Sounds like they have tuned the case to the speaker cones very well. Not something many audio manufacturers bother with these days sadly

I have the Loewe speaker 2go and it is quite a bit better than the Soundlink Mini which i have also owned, and it is only £30 more at the moment on Amazon.

Yeah, I read in the comments of that Youtube vid that someone was recommending the Loewe 2go and said it was better. I've never heard one so I'm happy with the Bose.... dont miss what you've never had ... and all that

I have SoundLink II. It does sound nice and have a good bass, but to listen to this speaker instead of your HK is just ridiculious... Just my 2 cents.

Garage List
I've got the older (bigger) BOSE SoundLink - great sound. Only two criticisms are:
  • The base can sometimes be a bit overbearing and there's no way to adjust it.
  • The built-in rechargeable batteries don't hold their charge for more than 2-3 weeks.

Sister has one and the sound is pretty good considering the size. I've gone down the Sonos route for the Spotify, iTunes, and web radio integration. Plus you can stream you music from your iPhone/android phone via the Sonos app.

My brother has one and I was very impressed. I'd get one if they were a bit cheaper.
