Looks like Beefy got the score right but picked the wrong team

Truly dire performance from England but all credit to Johnson, Haddin and the rest of the Australian team, they played brilliantly.

The only thing I will say in England's defence is I think they've worn themselves out over the last 18 months and it was showing in the summer - only home advantage carried them over the line in the last series but the writing was on the wall (easy to say that now ).

Sir Beefy was just on the telly between the change of innings of the T20 and he said the Poms were complacent, have to agree with him.

He also said it's now time for Cook to take charge of the team and make it his own rather than the remains of the Strauss team.

Stokes is certainly one for the future though!

The trouble is, when I look at the team, they don't look like a team of winners. They look like a bunch of nobodies.

What a way to wrap it up too. 4 wickets in 11 balls after tea was quite amazing. As well as we played I am very nervous going to sth africa and getting smoked tho. Will wait and see. How quickly it all changes in sport, guess thats why we watch it. better luck next time poms, we obviously know how it feels; well not 5-0 but to lose the ashes.

The team will certainly go to Sth Africa with a new level of confidence but I will be a good test (pun) against the number one team in the world.

Time will tell!

Can i just point out that i find cricket about as interesting as watching paint dry, no sorry that is unfair to paint, paint is far more interesting.

I went to this game at Upton Park and I remember an Aussie guy had a sign that read; "If we beat you at this you are shit at everything". How right he was.
