Brake squeak during coasting
I noticed that my 335i's wheels seem to squeal constantly when I'm coasting at low speeds. It mostly happens when I'm going downhill in gear and when I make a turn. The squeal sounds high pitched and it doesn't fade in and out. It's just a constant squeal.
My parents both have 535i's and their cars seem to do the same thing from what I've heard. We think the cold has something to do with it since it has been hovering around -7 degrees Fahrenheit to about +20. My car has the m-sport package but it doesn't have m-sport brakes. My mom and dad's cars do not have m-sport or after market brakes either. Is this normal? |

Many members have had the same complaint including myself. I've taken it to 2 different dealers and a total of 3 times for a resolution with no avail. I gave up on it and at about 4800 miles the squeal disappeared. I didn't bed the brakes properly when I first got the car so that could be the reason for my squeals. You can try to bed them first and if that doesn't work, just gotta wait it out.
