Hey mate, are you by any chance able to source something - short of a new Bluetooth module - which would update the system and allow a newer phone to properly work with the pre-LCI Bluetooth system? My phone connects fine but I can't use the steering wheel buttons (pick up/hang up), address books, voice dialling etc. Cheers.

If you have navigation with mulf high 2 then it can be updated.

How do I check if that's what I have? I have a 03/08 built E92 and the VIN Checker hasn't got anything bout MULF2, just this:

If you have 6FLA in your car description then you have high mulf2.
If that is not there then, try to get the module updated by bmw specialist.

We have DAB+ in Australia. Motoring industry just starting to offer factory options for DAB+ head units. Note DAB isn't compatible with DAB+ - unless the head unit is DAB+ compatible then it will not pick up digital radio in Australia.
