Prospective M235i for September ED

Hi All,

This will be my first BMW and my first European delivery. We were planning to go to France anyway to visit a good friend.

Our preliminary travel plan:

1. Fly into CDG
2. Take a hop over to Munich
3. Spend ~4 days getting back to Fontainebleau France
3a. Schloss Neuschwanstein
3b. Interlaken
3c. Chamonix, and Annecy
3d. Lyon
4. Climb in Fontainebleau Forest for a couple of days
5. Wash car and drop car off at CDG
6. Fly home

I think I've decided on the components for my M235i.

M235i Coupe
A96 - Mineral White Metallic
LCSW - Black leather
ZCW - Cold Weather Package
ZDA - Driver Assist Package
ZPP - Premium Package
302 - Anti-theft Option
4DX - Highlight Trim Finishers Estoril Blue Matte

Should be a fun adventure!

It may be baked into the vehicle price in the UK. There are a couple of threads that discuss the alarm and immobilizer:

I gotta put the Internet down!

I was noodling around and discovered the 4 Series. That is one sweet automobile! I priced the vehicle out in both 428i and 435i forms. The M235i is in serious jeopardy of being replaced by either of those two.

Has anyone else crossed shopped the M235i against these vehicles?

Huh?

I seriously doubt the 4 series will steal much sales from the M235i.

Both cars appeal to different markets. The 4 series also cost more when adding options

It really depends what you want...

For me:

M235i is much cheaper
has extra 22 hp
weights a lot less
is smaller
has much more things standard (M package, M brakes, M adaptive suspension, etc).

Once you build a 435i with M235i spec you are looking a ton more cash.

But, some people want/need a bigger coupe.

You're both right. I forgot to add the line i.e. Luxury, M Sport, Sport Line. Kicks the cost up by adding packages I'm not interest in purchasing.

I did Euro Delivery with my 128i. It was an amazing experience.

There is lots of Euro Delivery information and advice on this forum: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25

I hear ya!

ED pricing put's both into play for me. I have yet to test drive the M235i so I can't wait to put the M235i on the road! Here is the 435i configuration I'm considering:

M Sport Line
M Sport Brakes
Cold Weather
Driver Assist

This gets most of the performance bits. The exception is the dynamic handling I think. There is just over $2K difference in price. Plus the 4 Series design is nicer and more coherent than the 2 Series IMHO.
