drilled/slotted or plain rotors 328i?

Time for new rotors and I can't decide if I want to go with drilled/slotted for the sporty look or blanks.

I normally like the sporty look but these rotors look so tiny behind the 18s on my E92 that I'm thinking of just getting blanks for this car.

Either way I'm going with premium rotors from R1 concepts...I have had good luck with them on previous cars and their forum discount is nice.

Opinions?

Blanks. Slotted or drilled will make more noise. Completely cosmetic for a DD.

If you had to pick I'd say slotted.

But blanks are ideal IMO

Blanks actually have more surface area, hence more stopping power on the street, per Turner Motorsports recommendations.

Whatever you prefer. This is cosmetic only.

I guess my real question is, do drilled/slotted look ridiculous on a 328 with those relatively small rotors?

Dont get drilled rotors. They will crack. Blanks are fine.

Been running cross drilled/slotted rotors on all my performance cars for 13 yes - NEVER had a problem with cracking' and I track the T/A...

As long as you buy quality mfg. there will be no problems - and yes they are mostly cosmetic on the street

I have the ECSTuning Geomet cross drilled/slotted rotors on my 328iX with Akebono ceramic pads and they look great + no dust

Running StopTech cross drilled on my 328i. It's mainly a DD with some odd days at the track. Have had them a year, no problems. I liked the more aggressive look of the cross drilled pattern. Just my 2 cents.

I do check my rotors once a week though, JUST IN CASE. So far, no problems at all.

As mentioned above, a quality brand will not bust under normal driving; however, I've seen and heard horror stories of cheap-o ebay rotors.

R1 sources their rotors from Centric. Centric also makes Stoptech rotors. I'm not worried at all about the rotors cracking...

I decided on the blanks just because I don't really want to draw attention to the small rotors. Also, I previously got drilled/slotted to make sedans look more sporty. I think the e92 is a really nice looking car and clearly very sporty.
