335i/335D exhausts

Hello. I have a F31 335D on order.

One thing that is annoying me coming from a E91 335D is the cost cutting BMW have done in just fitting the exhaust at one side

Can anyone advise me whether a 335i back box along with the 335i diffuser for the M-sport bumper fit onto a 335D?

It will just physically be the backbox so it wont be interfering with the dpf etc. I just really want to know if anyone knows the diameters to see if it'll match up.

Pictures of both from underneath would be even better

I think this is poor too. Definitely a mod I'd like to look at if it's possible

Apparently it's nothing to do with cost cutting! It's because of the Beloved EU and the xDrive system.. Something to do with emission rates...

Agreed. The top spec diesel should differentiate from the rest just as the 335i does for the non-M cars.

Whilst I can understand your angst I like that the 335i has a unique exhaust amongst the F30's (well I would) to differentiate it from the diesels

The US 335i xDrive has the same exhaust as the 335i sDrive so it *may* fit on a 335d xDrive.

It means BMW can get away with charging £320 for the bloody M sport tail pipe!

Robbing bastards.

It does! An extra 10mm ride height differentiates it!

I can see why.

I am not that fussed personally. I'm coming from a 320d so just happy to have two tail pipes. Not bothered which side they are on

From looking it'd fit, the x drive set up doesn't change the rear set up, it'd be easier just to get your local exhaust place to knock one up.

Same as the diesel vs petrol one which keeps cropping up.

To be honest, when I'm driving, I can't see the exhaust pipes so it doesn't really matter to me whether they are on one side or both.
