I don't know if it has been determined if that particular time was run on non-race rubber or not.

Slicks will add what, 20-30 seconds to that time? If this was the case, it would be a 8:00-8:10 car which is way too slow. Nissan is claiming they are a tad quicker than 997TT's so there's not doubt that this car is running stock tires... Pictures look convincing too....

Here is the edmunds article of the GT-R vs. 997TT at Laguna Seca. As you can see with the pictures at the bottom of the page that they are in fact doing the 911 comparos with the stock tires.

The Laguna comparo and the N'Ring times are two different things. In either case, the world is waiting, so we shall see if the production version produces.
