Is it me or do the heated seats not get as hot as the heated seats in the E90.

Oh ok. The seats in my 335d are definitely not as good as my old c class

F30 heated seats are no where near as warm as my outgoing E70 X5,

Very hot for me on setting 3. Also the first heated seats I've had that warm both your back and your bum, so you no longer feel like you've wet yourself.

Yes I'd agree they dont seem quite as hot as the E90, but I think they get hot enough. There also take slightly longer to warm up.
I put it down to more "eco-friendly", efficient equipment these days with the intention of saving fuel.
You'll notice the heated mirrors and rear window takes longer to clear than the E90 too.

At first when I picked up the car, I had the same feeling.. They don't get as hot and they take their time.. However, now the car is approaching 2k Miles, they seem to work a lot better and hotter..

The thickness of the leather is a factor. I have always preferred half leather seats. I prefer cloth under my bum rather than cow.

Totally agree with you. Cloth is much more comfortable than cow, but cow looks better

years ago I had suede leather on an e46, loved it, very comfortable... On the plus size, you don't need it heated like leather

Also, I hate the way a leather seat bottom looks after a bit of use. Really manky. Don't have a choice with M Sport BMWs.

I'm having my front passenger seat base leather replaced under warranty as it has developed a bald patch even though it has been hardly used.

First time with heated seats & steering wheel.

I usually switch them off after around half an hour though. Just enough to take the chill out
