Ready for flame... front springs only?
Now I've seen time and time again people saying don't use aftermarket springs in the front only... but has anyone actually ever used only eibach or h&r springs on the front? how was the ride? I don't think perches will get me the drop I want and the rear springs might give me too much drop.

Why not just get a gently used set of STs or KWV1s? Or Konis + springs? They can be had for wellll under $1K, and installation isn't brutal from a cost standpoint.
I would strongly, strongly rec you do not mess with springs in the front only. The ride will just be bizarre. Is there anyway I can persuade you to not go the lowering springs only route?

Or just go with lowering perches.
Or be smart and get the below, or something similar. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=922359

STs are extremely comfortable, in all seriousness absolutely no more jarring the the OE M-Sport setup. KW V1s have identical dampening and spring rates as well. Springs I can't disagree. Just dont go there.

Yep. Both my E88 and E90 run on STs. Absolutely no issues with them at all. Very comfortable and I drive in DC, which has laughably poor road quality.
Let me know if you have any questions, combined they've been on my cars for over 15K miles, so I have a good sense of them at this point. Lowering perches are a far smarter option than springs IMO, but a proper coilover setup is the way to go. And with KWV1s and STs on the used market, prices are becoming exceedingly reasonable.
