Are 405M me performance alloys forged or cast?

The BMW UK website says these are cast alloy, yet other places seem to suggest these are forged wheels. I also found a website listing the weights of the wheels and the 405M wheels are substantially lighter than the 403M wheels. If that's true and they are lighter also then I may be very tempted!
Anyone who has swapped from one to the other care to offer opinions on the ride or handling differences?
