Looks a nice spec... I love Imperial blue.... Nearly bought a 5er in it. What interior did you go for?

Thanks, your car looks nice too - I wish I could justify that engine !

I've gone for the Venetian Beige interior - my current BMW is Mystic blue with beige leather interior and I love that combination. I am a bit worried about the quality of the current Dakota leather but it was the only way I could find to get a light interior.

Cheers. Justification is easy! Just keep telling yourself it's still cheaper to fuel a thirsty petrol than drink beer.

Deep Blue/Beige is a lovely combo. If I didn't have dogs in my car on occaision I would have gone for a lighter colour than black. The Dakota is alright....and I do mean "alright". It's not Merino by any means but it does a job especially if you look after it.

Pedro

I've gone for Mineral Grey with beige leather on a 335D. However I think the Imperial Blue with beige is the most swish and impressive of all combos. Remember I couldn't get it with an Msport worse luck.

Great choice.

Thanks very much for all of the positive comments etc. Checked with the dealer today and the build week is the last week in January. Although somewhat self-inflicted, this wait is proving to be VERY PAINFUL indeed. Worse than that, it has given me loads of time to worry about whether I chose the right spec, engine etc etc

Sounds like a very nice car, not much you can really change if your thinking about adjustments before it's built, maybe ditch the heated steering wheel and get the Ext Mirrors - Folding and Auto Dimming option instead, they will likely be used more I would guess (unless you suffer from circulation problems in your fingers of course!)

I've got 3 cars on my drive all with cream / beige / almond light leather interiors. In a total of 1/4 million miles between them I've cleaned my front E46 seats twice and my wife's Freelander 1 driver's seat once (Takes about 3/4 of an hour to do each seat properly) and the occasional spot cleaning which you would need to do irrespective of colour and, IMO, the seats all look mint. Never had a problem with dye transfer from jeans either but I know others have.

It's only mud. Easy to clean or could get some black mats.
