Think I have been to Newcastle, is it 100 or so miles North of Sydney and someone runs a sand dune ride in a big yellow school bus??

Yes mate, Newcastle is 160Kms north of Sydney. There are sand dunes over at Stockton (north of the city) not sure about the yellow bus ride though.

I live in Warners Bay which is on Lake Macquarie.
