Adios Amigos
Have a great holiday diesel heads and a great 2014. It has been a pleasure conversing with everyone these past few years but the time has come to bid you adieu. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors.

I will do the same as soon as i receive my 335d from the garage for the carbon build up... . Over 6 week now and the intake is back order again. The dealer tell me the car will do the same in another 80,000km (50,000 miles).
I love that car, but i prefer paying a little more on gas over an unreliable diesel... |

Yes, do 130. Then you won't get carbon buildup because your car will be hanging out at the impound. FYI that wont keep your intake and cylinder head free of carbon at all and the problem is not in the exhaust

Skeptics, skeptics. It is true it is hard to find a good place to go 100+ mph in Los Estados Unidos, but wouldn't that be great. At the risk of repeating myself from previous posts in other threads, I think (opinion only) that the best thing for our 335d autos would be a 100+ mph stint on the autobahn for a half-hour each day, say from Heidelberg to Frankfurt for your daily work commute. However, driving that fast on a busy autobahn, while quite fun, is a bit draining.

I beat this car more than 99.9% of the population... I have A LOT of drag racing pass and over 50 Times +++ over 140 mph. I have changed the rear tire 3 times last summer... Before that light for an injector, the car have no sign of carbon buil up. The car drive perfect at 92,000km but ... 1000km later and no sign except a ses light, the head, intake and many other parts are totally scrap ! I think the same way as you before this append... Its just a question of time and yours will do the same... Its bad, but its the reality. |

Hi guys,
This might be a silly question, but is the carbon buildup issue specific to BMWs outside of Europe? I can't find that many posts regarding this issue on european models, and mine has already over 180.000km on the counter and has never seen an SES light caused by this (knock on wood). |
