17" Winter Tire Pressure?
Got Dunlop DSST's 225/45/17 mounted on Rial Salerno. They look great. Any suggestions on tire pressure? Came at 32 PSI from Tire Rack. Thanks

I'd go with something like 36-40

I would say something around 36 psi would sound good.
I run 37/36 (front/rear) on my staggered 19" setup. I likely will experiment with my 17" winter tires once I put them on. Try experimenting...starting with 36psi and see how that feels. Let us know how it feels. |

There are recommendations in a chart in the back of the manual. For the 325i with sport package, 225/45 R 17 91 H M+S is listed at 33F 41R under 100mph, 35F 41R in excess of 100mph.

Thanks for the advice, why such a high pressure?
The summer set is 29/33. Wondering why some of you are suggesting as high as 36/40?
Thanks

BTW - if you look in your manual, you'll see 29F/33R (for over 100mph, or 29F/32R under 100mph) is what's recommended for your car with staggered 17" tires (225F 255R). For non-staggered sets, the recommended pressure is different. And of course, you don't have to go with BMW's recommendations if you don't want. As long as you have enough air in the tires to keep them from being damaged, you can adjust them to your taste. You might be surprised at how much a few lbs here and there changes the ride.
