FS: 400M Wheels With Summer performance tires [SEATTLE]

Hi.

I'm selling my 400m wheels and tires. Only ridden for a week, then I got a winter wheel and tire set. So this is pretty much new. They're just sitting in the garage gathering up dust now. They have the original tpms also.

Price: $1800

I believe these are the specs:

Tires:
Potenza S001 RFT
Front: 225/45R18 91Y
Rear: 255/40R18 95Y

Wheels:
OEM BMW 400M Syle 5x120
18" Double Spoke
Front: 18x8 ET34
Rear: 18x8.5 ET47

Why ditch the summer set? Surely you don't plan to ride on your winter wheels all year round?

I was hoping to fund a new set.

These would also make a great track set for someone as well. Just sayin'

Got it. I was curious, I just ordered a 335i with xDrive and the 19" 403M.
The 403M looked great, but now I am debating whether it is going to be non-drivable in winter given the size and perf tires it will come with. Any sense for how bad those tires get in Seattle and whether it is manageable with xDrive?

For comparison, my current car is a Trans Am that I was able to carefully jockey through light snow in the last few years on Potenza RE970 A/S tires.

I highly doubt I would be tracking my car. Haha.

I had no problems in the rain with these tires, but I'm assuming in the snow that it will be tough. All seasons on your x-drive should be fine though. I want a set of gun metal wheels. Ever since I got black winter wheels, I've been craving for darker wheels.

Out of curiosity, what winter tire wheel set did you pick up, and did you go for run flats or non?

Specifically to your ad, I might be interested in the rims/tpms, but given my situation I have no use for another set of summer tires.

I actually got a set of Drag DR-37 in matte black from Discount Tire. They're 17's, and I got non-RFT's---Michelin Xi-3. So far, it has only snowed once here...

Bet you are happy tonight! I had to be on the road and saw way too many idiots who:
  1. Don't know how to drive on snow
  2. Are driving on summer tires
  3. Have a vehice with RWD
  4. Hit the brakes to slow down when going up a hill
  5. Practice some or all of the above.
