58% for 3 years and 15k miles would be my guess. They will slowly raise that over the following model years until it's sitting at 61% and we are talking about the next 2series.
http://www.ridewithg.com This website is good about keeping the most up to date programs for each manufacturer. A 2014 435 is 58% with a .00125 MF. That's 3% So the 435 will be more expensive but have a lower MF, at least more than likely. We shall see.

M235i should be significantly cheaper on a lease basis than a 435i. No questions asked.

Running the MSRP numbers, I configured a 435i M Sport the same way an M235i with standard options would be configured. By my calculations from the US M235i pricing guide and the 435i build-your-own website, I get $51K for the 435i and $44K for the M235i.
Assuming residual of 58% quoted earlier, that gives a difference of $4060. Divide by 36 to get a rough approximation of $112/month. Lease calculator time: Using the parameters listed before: 58% and .00125MF, $44K gets you to $664. This includes California tax I believe since that's the ZIP code I put in. Replacing with $51K and the same parameters, I got $768. About what I predicted for the difference. These numbers are with zero down and zero extra fees. Not realistic, but those are the raw best-case numbers. Actual monthly numbers would come down with deposits, cap reduction, etc. So is $664 vs $768 significant enough for you? |

why are you guys assuming such a high residual?
the 2 series is meant to be a finance car like the 1 series. Same with the cla vs. c-class. BMW is known to inflate the residuals, especially on the 3 series. I bet the lease price difference will only be $75-100. I don't expect the 2 to be lease competitive at all. |

yea I have to agree, doubt the lease rates would be very competitive, at least to start off with, they have no actual data how the car would perform in the US market.
I remember when the A3 launched it had *terrible* lease rates, I basically leased my 330i ZHP for a similar rate as a A3 2.0T
