335d Ordered with a great discount!!! :-)

A week ago I was clueless about how to get a good discount on a new car. Thanks to all the advice I got on this forum, I've now ordered my new 335d with an awesome discount!

Heres the spec I ordered:

335d Xdrive M Sport, Sports Auto
Estoril Blue
Black Dakota leather
Brushed Aluminium Trim with high gloss black finisher
M Sport Plus Pack
Visibility Pack
Professional Media Pack
Electric folding mirrors
Heated front seats
Heated steering wheel
Active 'Stop & Go' cruise control
Adaptive M Sport suspension
Service plan
Supaguard (thrown in free by dealer)

With a £5100 deposit the monthly payment works out to £425pm (PCP), 12k miles per annum

It will be a big jump from my current 54 plate 1.6 Vauxhall Astra!! Test drove the 330d yesterday before signing and it was terrifyingly fast!

Literally can't wipe the smile off my face. Now have the agonising wait until mid-March till I can collect it, although at least it will have the new 14 plate reg on it.
Oh well, still can't wipe the smile off my face
Happy Days!!!

Congrats!

Very much in the same place you were last week but in my case a 4 series.

Well done, glad it all worked out. Now you'll find out how long 3 months really is

I always wanted to go for the 4 series convertible but the prices will be ridiculous on finance when it comes out. I was quoted 500pm with a £16k deposit for a 428i with no discounts available. I'm not patient enough to wait for the discounts to become available. Just thought I could get more car for my money with a 3 series. The 4 coupe looks immense though too. All the best with your purchase!

I might be stupid but I don't understand there being an invoice price and then dealer discount on the PCP - whats the later bit mean? Surely the invoice price is the cost of the car?

Is your PCP of £425 a month including VAT?

If so, i want to order through your dealer as I want the touring version, with less options but was stuck at over £500 month, 6+24 12000 miles pa

Who did you order through?

It wasn't a local dealer. I rang some nearby dealers and told them what I was looking for. Told them what I wanted to pay as a monthly payment and deposit and if he could manage it, I would order immediately. He got pretty close and paid the deposit over the phone.

GFV is £16406 after 48 months, 12k miles/year

The invoice price is the price the franchise sell the car for. Then BMW finance covers the rest of the discount as an incentive for taking a PCP. This is the dealer contribution that you see on the configurator. Or that was how it was explained to me.

My deposit on a 6+23 PCP would be £2500 -£3000 so interested if your quoted monthly payment is inc VAT as if so, my lower deposit would hopefully not increase the monthly payment too much, although I have no idea how you would work it out.

Thanks for the info - was it the saloon or touring?

Delivery seems a long time - any particular reason given - certainly a painful wait.

My C350CDI is going back on 22nd February, so I will need a temporary vehicle to cover the wait if this is how long the lead time is going to be.
