Y cable PITA!!!!
So my y cable started to play up, I had to wiggle the AUX part for it to play through all of the speakers. So I contacted the dealer and he kindly delivered a new one today but I should've tested as now it doesn't work at all. It charges but doesn't allow to me play music.
I'm guessing he's given me the pro Nav cable, any other thoughts? Cheers Neil |

Pro nav does use the Y cable, in fact there are two versions. One music one and a media one. It's only not needed if you specced enhanced bluetooth.
I imagine its the same situation with business nav |

cheers that's what I thought because I had the issue when I borrowed a demo vehicle before I ordered mine. I've emailed the dealer anyway so hopefully he'll sort it.

Turns out they had sent over the wrong cable, tried a new one and it still needs wiggling to get it to work properly so now I'm bothered I've got a faulty AUX socket. Question is do I put up with having to wiggle the cable or do I let them take out the centre console to investigate?

Why would you use a Y cable and have the sound over the phono lead rather than a standard apple USB connector?
