Recommended alignment after m3 suspension conversion
Hello guys,
this week i am installing in my 335i the front end m3 bits and an Ohlins R&T coilovers. What's the consensus about the best settings (camber, caster, toe) when we install the M3 bits on our 35's?? I have been reading about it and apparently the M3 specs aren't adecuate, nor the original 335i specs. It makes sense since the arms add .75 degrees of negative camber... Since lots of you have done it, could you guys post your settings or the spec sheet provided when you did your alignment? Obviously, only if the car drives & feels right... I have active steering... found a thread that says that active steering needs to be reset, but i never heard of this.. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=458624 Many thanks in advance! |

My car is aligned to M3 specs, sort of, and handles great! No excessive/uneven tire wear. I don't have active steering though. I'd recommend removing the alignment pins from you strut mounts and trying to get as much neg camber up front as possible to improve turn in and reduce understeer.
Front camber is -1.7 left and right (beyond M3 spec) Front toe in .08L .07R Rear camber is -1.8 left and right Rear toe in .08L .10R
