Carbon Fiber Overlay on door trim

Used some 3M DiNoc Vinyl Carbon Fiber on my pillars. Look okay, but not perfect. I'll probably peel it off and try again. I don't like the gap around the edges, but maybe it looks like gloss trim around the overlay?

wrap it past rubber edges on sides and then trim with exacto knife.
