I want to get my car detailed before the winter. Any recommendations in the Columbus area? Thanks!

I'll come and do it if you want to pay me.....

I don't know anyone in the Columbus area for sure. I know theres a guy on columbusracing.com that makes rounds but I don't know the guy.

I'll allow you to watch and teach you what I know. That way you can buy the supplies and do it yourself in the spring for free haha. If your unsure of my abilities ask George(detailed image, I use him for supplies) or Nyulak(he's seen me detail my car), I also post often in the detail section.

Here are some pics of my car after I detailed it mid-summer. I just did it again 2 weeks ago and it looks even better, no pics though. The weather has been so hit and miss I haven't been able to keep my car clean for longer then a day at a time. I hate the fall/winter.

I don't mind. The weather window is going to close fast so we'll have to do this soon. Unless someone has a decent sized heated garage? The only weekend I prefer it not be is the OSU v. Michigan weekend. I'll also need enough notice so that I can order a couple items so that I can properly detail numerous cars in a day.

I don't know your guys work schedule either but if we could do it on a friday morning/afternoon that would be even better. My fiancee's actual office and boss is in C-bus yet she works out of the cleveland office and she wouldn't mind working from down there for a day. If not no big deal, she'll live haha.

All I would need is that everyone to buy their own Meguiars Clay kit ($20) and everyone splits however much to pay me $200 and maybe a beer or 2 for my time, use of supplies, and teaching skills. You're now thinking why does this dude need paid?? Well these supplies aren't cheap and if you went to a normal detailer it would run you about $300 and the guy wouldn't teach you shit. He'd prolly also leave you with some nasty halograms on your paint. You won't even get to watch the guy so who knows what he's doing to your car. With me you'll see exactly how I'm doing something and what product I use.

I use quality products, such as Poorboys, Menzerma, Lake Country, Cobra, and detailed image items.

Any questions?

Darkcloud - Thanks for the offer. I'll definately take you up on it sometime, but right now I'm just looking for someone who can come to my house and do a full detail for me. I'm a student at OSU so Fridays/weekends are pretty busy, especially now during football season. That being said, I would like to learn a thing or two about detailing so we'll have to get together sometime. I live in an apartment near campus so we'd probably do it at my parent's house in New Albany. Maybe in the spring?

Nobody has any suggestions? I really don't feel like spending $400-500 with Liquid Luster. I know they're the best, but somebody has to have used another company before. Anyone???

Well the offers on the table. I mean I could probably swing a weekday as well. Like I said my Fiancees office is in C-bus on Polaris so she'd be willing to drive down any day of the week. Plus I'll charge you half what Liquid Luster will charge you.

If you want to hold off till spring that's fine to, just keep in touch.

Sign up with Columbusracing.com I know theres a guy on there. His name is AudiOn19s (Andy), I've seen of few pics of his work and he does a good job. I don't know what kind of products he uses though. Try him, he might fit your needs for now...

Actually no. I hardly ever see any modded looking e9X's around Cleveland.

I did see a Black/black spah. e92 with M6 reps the other day on the east side of cleveland, looked hawt. It only figures that everytime I see a a e9X with rims I'm never in my BMW. I'll almost always be in my shitty work hyundai haha, figures

I keep an eye out to see if I ever see anything special but never do. I'm sure I wouldn't miss your old ride since it's the only other E90 in Ohio with Euros

I just did mine. The leather soaked up alot of conditioner. Waxed, oil changed and ready for storage when the snow hits. Hopefully I will have my new rims and M3 spoiler before the first snow. The liquid luster guys are a joke. Go get a clay bar kit some decent wax and go to town. I used to own a detailing business and auto repair facillity.

Hey technik111, I may be in Columbus next weekend (Illinois) and would be showing up early on friday, prolly around 8:30am so that the fiancee can work there. I don't know if you would be available, or broke down and over paid a detailer but just wanted to let you know. I'll know for sure tomorrow if I'm coming or not.

Let me know if you want to work something out...
