'Home' in nav??

How to you set home or save a location? Doesn't seem to be any spots other then accessing the BT phone book. ??

If someone steals your car, the last thing you want is for their next stop to be your house. For that reason, I would advise against it.

I personally always leave the home entry blank. When I need to enter an address to find my way home, I always use an address that's a few blocks away.

All they have to do is break your window and grab your registration...

The 8 dash buttons are a good idea. Never used or though about. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure there's a voice command as well. 'Take me home' maybe???

No offense but this is another urban myth. If they steal your car, they can just as easily look at your registration and/or insurance card to get your home address. Unless you keep those with you at all times, which I don't recommend.

Sure
I use it often because it forces nav traffic to analyze your route

No offense taken. However I'm not sure how it can be called a myth. Launch control voiding your warranty is a myth. The possibility of someone stealing your car and going to your home next is a realistic thought.

I purposely don't have my home address listed on my registration or insurance either.

Now that is a myth..
Clone the key, roll it down the driveway, and drive away.

Part 1

Part 2

1) Save/ set Home:
In the address book,it should be the first entry, scroll the list all the way to the top.

*For the paranoids*
For security reasons: I would not recommend entering your actual home address. Instead save an address a couple of blocks away perhaps or a spot your familiar with and can go home from.

2) When you are a location you want to save:
While in Nav (map on iDrive screen), press the Option button below the iDrive controller and select Store Current Location.
This save save the location using GPS coordinates and not the address of that location.

Hope this helps.
