Do you really need new spring clips when changing pads?
I was looking up the part numbers, and came across the kits, and it says that ideally for cars over 4 years old, you should replace the spring clip too? Part #'s 3 and 4.
You guys think it's needed? I was going to buy the parts and give them to my mechanic, and didn't know if I should get them too or not. I just had my 335's rotors and pads switched, and didn't provide new clips, and they didn't say anything... . . . . |

No not necessary when doing pads, ive had the same clips since initial ownership. Now if you change to a different caliber then yes
