Sungard Black Pearl NR any good?
I called around to about 9 tint shops in my area. I have gotten quotes for a bunch of different films from 3m, Suntek, Sungard, and LLumar. Most places were offering 3m Premium or LLumar dyed film for about $225 or 3m Color stable for about $265-300. Some of those places required mole skin for an additional $60-140 and some places said I won't need it.
I found a place yesterday that had a special on Sungard NR Black Pearl for $175. He sounded knowlegable and stated that he will look at my car and see if he thinks I need moleskin. He thinks I wouldn't. HE IS THE ONLY GUY TO SAY THAT IF HE THINKS I DON'T NEED IT AND MY TINT SCRATCHES, HE WILL REPLACE THE TINT FOR FREE AND THEN ADD MOLESKIN. HE SAID HE WOULD PUT THAT IN WRITING. He also said that if he put moleskin on it would be $15 a door and that I could just put it on the windows I use the most. BTW I have a 08 328i sedan with nav and sat. So hear are my questions: 1) Sungard NR Black Pearl comparable to other dyed films such as 3m Premium FX or LLumarATC 2) Will dyed film fade in time? If so how many 5% 3) Would metallic interfer with radio or nav? 4) What numbers are most important on keeping interior cool? 5) He also said he could do Madic Wincos for $325 for 30 0r 45%. Is that worth doing? The tinter seemed to think the Sungard is a much better deal and the Wincos isn't much better for the money. Here are the data sheets Madic http://www.madico.com/wp-content/upl...ecs-Madico.pdf Sungard http://www.madico.com/wp-content/upl...Sun-Gard-s.pdf Llumar http://llumar.blob.core.windows.net/...film_specs.pdf 3m http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawe...nce%20Data.pdf |
