PI inf anything.. why do you need it? focus on a 3 stage and a tune first.

AFE is nice for the price, but you can get a Eurobox just the same. PI is OEM so you're covered! PI is said to be made of carbon fiber(no heatsoak) and has an oiled filter.

I have seen videos of AFE intake (for sound). Does the PI have a nice sound (growl)?

Charcoal delete and a K&N filter. Done and you just save over $200 dollars for much more worth-while mod.

This, except think I'll go with a dry filter.

I have been considering the euro intake box or the sealed AFE...but well, honestly, just because it looks cooler. I don't think there is any proof and it is very doubtful that either option performs better than stock US intake with carbon delete and a more free flow filter. In fact, the AFE might be worse for you.

Charcoal delete, free flow filter and save your $$$ for a performance exhaust for sound.

They should just make a cover to put over the stock US airbox that makes it look cooler lol

I have a euro box with pipercross foam filter and i got it for an absolute steal, but if I could go back and do it again knowing what i know now, i would of just done the stock box mod with an afe dry filter, or wait cause AA is coming out with a green panel filter soon.

Eventho this has nothing to do with your question about PI or afe,
Here's my unbiased euro box thread

Intakes, hmm the cheapest closed box option at the time.

Eurobox + afe dry euro filter or that pipercross filter & Afe closed box dry to me seem better choices than NorthAmerican BMW Performance Intake

The change I felt was easy breathing engine and some torque increase, I had the tune at the time.

Neither... The OEM intake is actually very efficient. Don't waste your time!
