BMW Trunk Spoiler

I am toying with the idea of doing the factory BMW trunk lip spoiler on my E90. How does this thing affix to the car? Double side F'n tape? I don't like the idea of tape and drilling the factory trunk doesn't sound appealing either. I want it done in a BMW Factory fashion. What is the solution here.

Use urethane window windshield adhesive.
Tape can be made to come off with the right torque angle or dental floss.

3m automotive tape is the factory method. It holds and WILL NOT blow off no matter how fast you drive. Beta link adhesive is good for racing applications but cannot be removed once applied. You may want to remove or change the spoiler at some point, so go with the 3m tape method. I've done several applications and none ever came off until I wanted to remove them.

Just get a CSL trunk, then you won't have to mess with your factory one LOL

seriously though, do a google image search for CSL trunk lid … they're really nice. CSL was a special run of cars and considered desirable (kinda like a Cayman R is to the Cayman S).

i don't blame you about taping it on either… if it doesn't look perfect that would really bug me.

good luck!
