Battery registration in Halton/ Mississauga ?
I need to change out the battery in my '07 328i. I bought an identical replacement ( AC Delco ACD49-60 aka 49A) and it's ready to go in.
Is there anyone around Milton/Burlington/Mississauga or the surrounding area who has the tool that can register it into the computer ? Thanks. Last edited by radeohedca; 10-29-2013 at 04:29 PM.. |

battery install
There is a new shop, by Walkers and Harvester in Burlington.
He knows what he is doing. http://www.autobahnlogic.com/ Hopefully this works for you. He is actually doing the exact thing ( registering new battery )for a friend of mine today. |

It only takes 2-3 minutes to register a battery so it shouldn't cost much at all.

Someone recommended a guy that does coding for $20 per feature but he has a $50 minimum charge. (Price will be higher if the battery specs are different but in my case the replacement battery is identical.)
$50 ??? Seems excessive to me. I wouldn't mind paying $20. |

Been doing some reading... I have an OBD to USB cable. I'm a bit confused about what software tool to use that will allow me to register the battery.
This link says to use EDIABAS Toolset 32 rather than INPA. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=532315 Is the former included in INPA or is it a different program ? I've been searching for it to download but can't find it. Can anyone fill me in ? |

You should be able to find a download link to all the software somewhere on the forums. I registered mine myself just recently.

Many of the links are dead, some of them require me to join a site which I don't want to do. Do you recall where you got your files from ?
What did you use ? INPA or EDIABAS ? |

I believe the BT professional tool can do it as well.

There are a lot of members that have the tool, just go on facebook and look for the BMW True North group, you will find what your looking for.
