Wow. Just noticed how much more standard equipment the Canadian E90s came with.

Was perusing this:
https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/press...obilePage=true

Was looking up information on my car. Never realized that all Canadian e90s (325/328/330/335) came equipped with, as standard:
• Xenon Headlights
• Cold Weather PackAge (Heated Seats, etc.)
• Ski bag
• Split folding rear seats
• Electric power seats
• Glass Sunroof
• 18 inch wheels and oil cooler standard with the sport package

The tradeoff is that we didnt get the Logic 7 stereo standard prior to the LCI as the US did. The trade is worth it to me. I like my BMW Professional Hifi system just fine.

Interesting to see. I guess it offsets how much more we seem to pay up here for retail prices.

Cars in canada also cost a lot more so they pretty much make you pay for those "extras".

I was going to get you back, BUT you are allowed to make fun of canadians if you are canadian :P

We get hosed on the warranty though.... US markets get extended warranties on injectors, turbos, injectors, etc...

That's a good point I asked for wipers on my last appointment and was told their not covered by the maintenance plan. Love it

Oh yeah and bmw.ca sucks too. You require Java? Really? In 2013?

You're forgetting the crappy 323i that we get offered here (now the 320i):

Back when I bought my 325i, there were a LOT of barebones 323i cars that did not come standard with xenon headlights, sunroof, split folding rear seats, or power seats (hell, my 325i doesn't even have power seats).

I'd trade the cheap USA prices for our Canadian "standard equipment". Buying a used 335 with a decent amount of options up here could get us an M3 down there....

Bought my car in the U.S.. Factory warranty is transferred over to Canada but I lose the maintenance. But if I want I just drive to Buffalo (less than 90 min) and they'll do the free maintenance. Brakes included. :-)

I feel you man. If i knew how to get a car from the States up to Alberta efficiently I would list up my 335 for sale in a heart beat (not that I don't love her) and get myself an M3!

Don't cheap out on tires for the M3 and i'm sure it'll be fine in the winter. I have a 335i so i'd be suffering from both RWD cars...but the LSD will make a world of a difference lol.

Pre-LCI did get the HK Logic7. I have it in my pre-LCI!

323i owner here! You're right it is missing a lot of special features. The non powered seats really don't bother me. The fact that they don't fold down is a bit of a pain. Would have loved the Xenon headlights too.

Overall it's a great car though. I got a deal on one through a friend and I love it. Never thought I would ever be able to afford a BMW so I'm glad they are releasing vehicles like this. Gotta start somewhere.

I've been shopping in the US this week since I'm having a hard time finding a car in Canada. I called both BMW dealers in Canada and in the US and was told the exact same thing regarding the warranty and maintenance.

Btw Extended warranty (platinum) in the US for 7 years/100,000 miles for a 2011 328i is approx $3540 and maintenance for 6 years/100,000 miles is approx. $2095
