As new MV4's with nearly new Conti Sport tyres

Hi all,

Having recently purchased a new set of wheels I have my immaculate MV4's for sale.

They were newly refurbished at Atomic Wheels in Milton Keynes in August and are finished to the highest standard and are finished to original BMW finish.

All wheels are as new and without any marks, kerbing or damage. They are fitted with Continental Sport SP5 XL non run flat tyres.

Fronts are 235/35/19 and rears are 265/30/19

The fronts have approx 7mm that is even across the tyres.

The rears have minimum of 6mm that is even across the tyres

No damage or puncture repairs and were again new in August.

One of the rear wheels had some cracks welded prior to refurb and are hardly noticeable but I have taken pictures so you can see. The tyres are always inflated to the correct pressure and I had the Hunter 4 wheel alignment when they were fitted so the wear is even with no shoulder wear at all.

New BMW centre caps fitted along with chrome valve stems and caps.

I am asking for £1000 for these immaculate wheels with nearly new tyres.

I can meet say within 50 miles or courier at cost so will be about £50.

Pictures....

Fronts....

Front....

Rears....

Rear.....

Previous weld repair....

Last few I promise

Thanks for looking. Any questions please call on 07779336950

Cheers Steve, Was not sure on the value to be honest but I guess the wheels alone should be at least £600 second hand and I don't think you will find a better set and it has £1000 worth of tyres fitted. Well they were 2 months ago

I'm open to a sensible offer but at the same time not desperate to sell.

Price reduced by £200 now. so the new price is £1000.

If you want a set of "new" MV4's that are in perfect condition with almost new tyres then get in touch.

Not open to offers at this price as nearly £1000 worth of bloody tyres fitted

Garage List
Jon you maybe better replacing the welded wheel to achieve the original price.

People will be put off with a wheel that's welded

Really?

I thought it was quite the norm for these wheels to have been welded.

The weld was done prior to the refurb but by the same company and came guaranteed which is still valid until August next year.

These wheels freshly refurbed go for about £600 without tyres and I have nearly new conti sport tyres fitted

I will try a classified on ebay but failing that I will take the tyres off and sell separately but that is such a ball ache.

Appreciate your feedback mate but I dont think I will replace as the replacement might be a different shade etc.

Hi I hope you do not mind me asking on your sale thread, but was looking yesterday and I noticed the silver metal square weights on your alloys.

I have the same alloys as yours and over the last three months I have picked up at least one and maybe two sets of these(were probably at least 4 or 5 squares) but not realised that these were from the alloys. Had building work going on at the time.

So if these drop off what will be the problem that it creats:-

1. Is it the wheels needs balancing?
2. Or the car will need tracking?

I had assumed it would be a wheel balancing problem but when I took the car in the person in garage suggested it would need tracking. Whats the difference between balancing and tracking? Garage was very busy and did not book the car in.

If I let go off the steering wheel for around 4-5 secends the car drives straight then it starts to drift to the left and keeps drifting.

I asked him how much it would be to track the car and he replied £20. I have used this garage before many times for my golf and being great. But I have read that alot of people get tracking done on a special machine for like around £100 for BMW's. Whats the name of this machine(make/model) and is it worth the extra money?

Hi ya, the tracking you need is done on a Hunter machine. All lasers and will set the car up perfect.

Loosing a weight or two probably won't make any difference and they are there only to balance the wheel to avoid steering wheel wobble that is generally at motorway speeds.

If your car is dragging to the left it will probably need tracking but all roads drain water to the left so there is a natural camber to the left.

Get your car in lane two of a motorway at 70mph and then see if it drifts to the left. If the road is staight and flat it should hold its line.

£20 for wheel alignment??? avoid like the plague as it will not be done right IMHO.

Jon

ps..... want to buy mine? lol
