Self tinting rear view mirror

Anyone know how to change the standard mirror to the self tinting mirror (with compass) on an E93?

i think you can buy the part and do the install yourself.. check in the master list for a link

The actual mirror swap is trivial, but getting power to the mirror might take some doing depending on your option package.

Update: the dealer ordered the mirror but found that it could not be installed on the E93 to replace a standard mirror. Apparently, the coupe has some kind of different module compared to the convertible. However, if the premium package is ordered from the factory, the tinting mirror is installed.

Doesn't work with standard original mirror and the convertible as opposed to the coupe.
